Additional Information

The Rocky® Lightweight Commercial Military Boot combines Rocky's most advanced lightweight features with the durability and performance needed in combat or competitive operations.

This combat boot is fully compliant with DA PAM 670-1 (dated 31 MAR 2014); it is a GSA-approved item and a trade-friendly product.

Made of leather and CORDURA® nylon, the Rocky Lightweight (RLW) boot is water-resistant and fast-drying. Speed lace eyelets and NATO hooks help you lace the boot quickly, and the system won't cut away at your laces.

You have secure footing in this military boot. The aggressive multi-directional rubber outsole easily grips slippery or rugged terrain. Toe and heel tread locks are reinforced with stitching.

This also is a really comfortable combat boot. The removable Rocky Air-Portā„¢ insole is molded from long-lasting polyurethane. That means it won't lose it's shape or break down. The Air-Port footbed is designed to circulate air to your feet with every step.

Other comfort factors include a rubber midsole and a padded collar.

The military boot is lightweight at just 18 ounces. You can walk all day without being weighed down by your footwear. The RLW measures 8 inches tall.

For a lightweight military boot that performs, get the Rocky RLW.

Rocky Lightweight Commercial Military Boot is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent boot I bought these after owning 2 pair of C4T. I hate the leather, but that's the Army's fault. However, this boot is significantly heavier than the C4T. It also has lousy laces compared to said boots. The boot isn't cut the same either. I didn't just put these oh and live them like I was hoping. Overall if the boot gets better I'll be happy, but it will require me to buy new laces and actually wear them in the old fashioned way. I will admit it is a rugged boot that looks like it will last a while. Also it is still a pretty cheap boot so can't complain about price. It just isn't the garrison boot I was hoping for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally DA PAM 670-1 compliant!!! I loved the C4T's but was disappointed when the Army cracked down on boots. Rocky hit a home run when they took that style and made the RLWs. I LOVE THESE BOOTS! The first thing that I noticed is how well constructed they were. Real leather, durable outsoles, and the standard insoles. Rocky makes the best insoles on the market today... period. They took about a week to break in, but once they did they are the most comfortable pair of boots I own... way better than Nike SFBs. The sizing is right on. I will be buying and wearing these boots for as long as I they make them. In the future, I would like to see Rocky make them in coyote brown to go with the new camo. I would definitely recommend these boots to anybody, especially military.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware of Irregularities/Defects The first pair I received one boot was significantly narrower than the other and too tight. I was able to return under the warranty with free shipping and received my replacement pair within about two weeks, which was not too bad. The replacement pair had some irregularities between the two boots--not exactly identical, and the padding on the inside of one boot was a little different than the other. Overall these are very comfortable and good quality, but I think they are made quickly and not exactly quality checked very well so you may receive a pair with some defects. They do run a little narrow, I have never worn wide shoes or boots, but the regular was too tight for me. I also agree with a previous review, that if it is too tight for you across the top, re-lace it so it's over, not under.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boot and 670-1 Compliant Great boot. The wide fit like a glove from the second I slid the boots on. There was a hot spot on the heel and another at the bottom outer edge of the laces. They both went away quickly after breaking these bad boys in. The feather like weight of these boots is incredible. The support of the air cushion insole provides incredible support mile after mile. My favorite pair of military boots I've owned this far. Thank you Rocky for a great 670-1 Compliant boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Without a doubt the worst boot I have ever bought I was hoping for a good, comfortable boot to wear for working outside the house and other outdoor activities (fishing, hiking, etc). This boot offers NO support at all and because it is so flimsy, its even hard putting it on. I finally managed to get them on and decided to cut the grass. Within 20 minutes, I had a huge blister on my left heel. I have ROCKY clothing that I like, but this will be the last pair of boots that I ever buy from this company. Terrible fit, terrible support, its a insult to even mention that it is called a "Military Boot".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so great Thought the boots felt like cardboard, leather was stiff.the insoles were nice, but way to thick for boot, had to use my older inserts, then the boot felt good, and not tight. The back wore a blister mark in my skin,on both feet, above my heal.one boot felt tighter that the other, bothered me,uncomfortable. I don't like these boots, the cheap nato boots I have are nicer.at least the leather, feels a lot better. Glad I only paid $45 ,for them. Have them for sale on craigslist, selling them cheap. Maybe they will work for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service Shipped fast. Lightweight and soles were very comfortable for the few hours I wore around the house. Used to the ankle support provided by the S2V. These barely have any, the excess tongue bunched up caused pressure points on the ankle as well as bunched up in the same area when moving. Wore one foot with an Underarmour sock and the other with a Thorlo to give a fair testing, Same results for both ankles. Shipped back and refunded with positive results. Save yourself the trouble and just buy their better boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Civilian here but love the high protective lightweight trail abilities of these boots . For people complaining about pressure at the seam where the laces start , just re-lace going over instead of under . Hope that helps
