Additional Information

The exterior on this Rocky Men's Jump Boot has an adequate amount of durability and ruggedness so that it is able withstand the most unforgiving working conditions. The upper has been built from premium full-grain black leather. These 10-inch public service boots have a side zipper that aids in getting them on/off rapidly. In addition to these features, there is a polishable toe so that you can keep these boots looking like they are in tiptop shape.

A great deal of the paratrooper boot's strength"š can be"š attributed to its Goodyear welt construction. Eventually, all public service boots begin to wear down; with this construction, these boots can be repaired with no trouble and they revert back to their original hardiness.

The contoured EVA footbed provides cushioning that will pacify your achy feet, and will make standing a much more comfortable experience.

You will have more stability as a result of the stabilizer, because it is non-metallic you will not have to remove your footwear or be delayed around scanners or sensitive equipment. The black rubber lug outsole provides dependable traction; this is especially beneficial when you are walking on uneven terrain.

    • Full-grain water-resistant leather
    • Contoured EVA insole
    • Rubber Lug Outsole and Non-Metallic Stabilizer
    • Side Zipper for Easy On and Off
    • Oil- and slip-resistant rubber outsole
    • Polishable toe
    • 10 Inches in height
    • Goodyear® welt construction

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Has Gone Downhill I have worn Rocky Boots my entire adult working life, from the military and now as a police officer. These were my favorite boots and I've owned 3 or 4 pairs over the past 17 years. They have replaced the side zip with some inferior product (not a YKK zipper) and it is total garbage. The first pair I got the zipper pull broke, no big deal, stuff happens. The replacement pair they sent the zipper started splitting after I zipped it up. The second replacement pair, same thing (see attached pic). Three strikes and you're out, Rocky. And it sucks because I've work Rockys on-duty and as my dust kickers at the house. You've lost a loyal customer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent boot but needs some better snaps I have had 4 pair of these boots in my 18 year career and I really love them but there is room for improvement. Every pair I have had fails in the same place! The snaps that hold the leather flap over the zipper at the top have broken within a year. Either the rivet breaks or the snap comes off of the boot. For a $130 boot, I expect better. As for comfort, they are ok. I put an Arriat Boot Co. insert in them for better comfort and that seems to make them just right for me. I have decided that the expense and repeated failure of the boot in the same area is no longer worth my time and money. Bates has an identical boot for $20 less, I'll give them a shot this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible zipper quality on Paratrooper boots I have always bought Rocky Paratrooper boots. I bought a new pair 2 weeks ago to replace the ones I wore out. The new pair is bad quality. I put my boots on for work & during my shift the zippers came unfastened. I then had to pull the zipper down on both boots , doing that was difficult. I then zipped up both boots. Again the zippers track separated again while walking at work. There is a different zipper on the Rocky Paratrooper boots. Not the same good quality zippers they use to put on their boots. I would not recommend these boots anyone. Rocky Boot company improve the quality of your zipper. I purchased Corcoran Paratrooper field boots from US Patriot Tactical.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from From 5 stars to 1 I have been buying this Model 2090 boot for 10 years. I use them for everything everyday but mainly like the style as a Harley riding boot. I just got my 6th or 7th pair the other day and when I put one on I noticed that the zipper was a different style. A much smaller plastic zipper with about an 8th of the size of the original. When I zipped it up the zipper separated instantly. I unzipped it and tried repeatedly with the same result. I was hoping that I just got a bad pair but after doing some digging I found out that this is the new normal. I'm assuming that Rocky used an inferior product to save a few pennies. If they did, they didn't pass the savings on to me. I'm sending these back for a refund and this will be the last Rocky boot I'll buy if this is the type of quality that they are selling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from very unhappy today these boots arrived at my door, i was very excited to get my first pair of paratrooper boots. Well imagine my surprise when i opened my box and found that the snaps, don't even line up at all, the zipper doesn't go far enough down to even get my foot in and out while it's laced (i work ems i need to be able to get them on and off in seconds). They were scuffed up just from taking the plastic bag off them. And there "comfort sole" is non existant. The leather compared to my Alpha force is a cheap knock off. I'm very unhappy with these boots as I had so much higher expectations from rocky, a company where I've been doing business for years with. I think it's time to switch to bates.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible The boot looks great. That's about it. The zipper sticks frequently. And the boot is the most uncomfortable boot I've ever worn. I've been wearing Rocky's for years on duty. I will NEVER buy this boot again. Been wearing it for 3 months waiting for it to break in and it hasn't. I have to wrap my feet behind the heel to avoid blisters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Corrections Officer Approved I have 23 years on the job, i have owned 4 pairs of these, they last over a year with the factory sole. The leather is tough i never had any cracking or ripping. The stitching is solid. I replace the soles at a cobbles with the same sole. Usually lasts another year and a half before the leather starts fading. I strip boots down w shaving cream and use a parade polish to spit shine them. They are extremely comfortable & have excellent support in the most challenging situations such as cell extractions. The side zipper makes the boot a pleasure to take on & off. Each time i purchased these boots i got at least 3 years out of them. Then use the old ones for outdoors after. Excellent boot with a excellent professional look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Older Paratrooper velcro were way better I had the older....when I say older I mean around 2009 with the Velcro connections at the top of the zipper. Those Rocky's were awesome and I have no complaints on those. I purchased a new pair in 2013 and I still wear them to this day. I work in Corrections and I'm walking 13 hours a day. Well, the newer ones wreck havoc just above my heel. These boots have made blue calluses the size of golf balls behind my ankle. I can't wear flip flops in public because of the damage these boots have done to my skin.
