Additional Information

Resection Athletic Trail Shoes by Rocky® are men's extreme sport and trail shoes. It's about performance and comfort "” with a special, unexpected safety feature. These shoes that keep your feet dry on the trail while gripping the terrain; or they may help save your life.

The trekkers have a VapourFlex® four-way stretch waterproof shroud. VapourFlex is a patented waterproof, breathable and elastic tech fabric designed for outdoor gear. Run or trek where you like, these are waterproof shoes. Forget zippers; these trail running shoes have waterproof self-locking asymmetrical zippers. Water isn't getting in!

You'll have sure footing on and off the trail with outsoles that feature a Vibram® compression molded trek rubber compound. This trekker has a proprietary wave underlay texture for element traction and water shedding.

Ready for the special safety feature? These shoes have a fuchsia footbed. Why is fuchsia an important color? Fuchsia is a color that easily can be spotted in nature. If you're lost or in distress in the wilderness, you can remove this fuchsia footbed and wave it in the air or otherwise display it to signal you need help or signal search and rescue personnel who might be looking for you.

If you're buying trail shoes, you also want to consider all the conditions under which you'll be wearing them. How about snow? Yep, Resection Trail Shoes work well with snowshoes! Run, hike, trek, walk or snowshoe; these six-inch shoes work under many conditions.

When it comes to hiking or running in these trail shoes, additional performance comes from the TPU stability shank that provides support, and as the name indicates, stability for your run or hike.

This shoe has ripstop nylon that resists tears with high-abrasion, half-gusseted TPU overlays that provide comfort and durability. A rubber enhanced toe wrap and an extended back guard help this extreme sneaker resist abrasions and scuffs. That also helps your shoe last longer and continue to look good.

If you're going to go all out in these shoes, they have to keep up with comfort. These men's running shoes have lightweight and flexible EVA midsoles. An anti-microbial open-cell foam with perforated forefront vents lets air circulate to your feet. Moisture-wicking lining helps guard against sweating. The polyurethane flat-lay collar assures ankle grip so your shoe stays in place and doesn't slip while you run, walk or hike.

If you want a unique pair of men's extreme sport and trail shoes, get the Resection Athletic Trail Shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Trail Runner I got this as a Christmas gift and I wanted these long before that. They are so comfortable! I haven't gone hiking in them but just walking around they are more comfortable than most of the shoes I own. I love how it has an integrated gator. Instead of having to purchase a trail runner than a gator after. Also the price of these I couldn't have gone wrong even if I bought them myself. I'm so looking forward to getting out on the trail and using these. These also game with the survival grenade, that will be coming on my next hike as well. Such an added bonus that I wasn't expecting!! My hiking partner got me these and now she wants a pair as well. Highly recommended!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent wet weather shoe! Im a Disc Golfer. I need waterproof shoes for my winter rounds. Purchased these for a number of reasons. The Vibram sole, its tough, and will stand up over a couple years. The comments of previous purchasers. They commented on the comfort. I like comfortable shoes. And the built in gaiter. What a great idea. None of those dreaded foxtail sticker things down inside your shoes and socks. And as I said before, they are waterproof. I tested them at the 2016 St Patrick's Classic, all 3 days of the tourney had rain, but the first day and last day were played in torrential rain. My feet were warm and dry. I'm so glad I purchased these shoes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good in theory. I'm a disc golfer as well. The vibram sole isn't overly grippy on wet concrete while throwing after about 5 months of use. The threads on the top of the zipper started fraying and undoing within a week. They only stayed waterproof for about 6 months before the separated sole, pinholes and crack where your toes bend let in water with every step. They were also very unbreathable, held foot moisture in worse than any other shoe I've worn. The right shoe didn't have the same build quality as the left when it comes to the inner sole. Unfortunately my experience reviews itself. 2/5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Durable!! I received the Resection Athletic shoe about a month ago and it has quickly become my go to trail shoe. Whether I am out for a trail run or a light hike, the Resection has not let me down. I love how lightweight it is yet it doesn't sacrifice durability. It is not too bulky and it holds up well against the wear that any trail can dish out. The outer layer that zips over the laces keep the water and mud out yet it remains flexible around the ankle. You won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and Versatile!!!! I originally purchased these shoes for light trail running but they've been great for so much more. I've used them in to play in the snow with my children while I wore wool sox and I never got cold even though my feet were covered for hours. I ran in heavy rain while not avoiding puddles and stayed completely dry. The shoes have been great for beach runs and the gaitors helped to keep sand out. Once I realized how great the traction and ankle support were I purchased more pairs to use as mat shoes. The light weight also gave me the idea of using the shoes when I travel. For most shoes I wear a 10.5 or 11 but the 10.5 was good and the width sufficient even though I typically wear a wide. As long as the shoes are durable enough to last for a while I will continue to be happy with the purchases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable great fit I bought these several months back but they are the most comfortable shoes I have owned. Conforms to your feet so well without any problem. If you want to wear a heavier sock, I suggest one half size larger.
