Additional Information

One of the key features of Rocky® Alpha Force Waterproof Composite Toe Public Service Boots is the non-metallic composite toe cap. These meet the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact and Compression resistance.

An additional feature of these public service boots is Rocky Waterproof construction. It combines a waterproof inner layer with the upper providing a barrier that helps keep water out and feet dry.

The boots have a contoured removable polyurethane cushion insole providing direct underfoot cushion comfort. Some open-celled foams feel comfortable to the initial touch, but tend to break down faster than a product made with polyurethane. Plus, these insoles are extra thick in the heel contact area. This provides additional underfoot comfort.

In addition to meeting Impact and Compression standards, this style complies with Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
    Rocky® Waterproof
Rocky® Waterproof construction ensures the highest level of waterproof protection while maintaining breathability.

Rocky Alpha Force Composite Toe Waterproof Public Service Boot is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the Line Over the past 20+ years in Automotive, Fire / EMS have been in almost 7 different styles and manufactures of duty work boots. I have stuck with Rocky for the past 8 years because they work. They fit, wear like iron, and are available in different styles. I prefer the 6" with composite toe as there lighter on my feet than standard steel toe. The foot bed and heel construction stay together and do not separate. Having the water proof design keep the feet dry, more so for Minnesota weather. Another personal preference is the insulted style as my feet stay more comfortable and relaxed even after 12 or more hour shift. Clean up and a little polish they look brand new out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST DEAL YET IN A DUTY BOOT Purchased a pair of these and have worn them daily for about the last 7 months. Without a doubt they are one of the most durable and comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. The composite safety toe is light and strong and doesn't get ice cold like steel toes in winter weather and they go right through airport security without a problem. Great traction and support from the heavy lug sole and I have found them to be absolutely waterproof in rain, snow and ice. I liked them so much that I purchased a second pair for hiking and casual wear around the property (really). I would advise that they run a bit on the small side, I typically take a 10.5 wide, had to send them back for an 11.5 wide that fit like a glove. Plus, I have always received great service from Rocky Brands. Someone is always there to chat or by phone to help with your order or any questions. What more can I say other than I would recommend them to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Everyday Working Shoe I purchased this shoe after one of my students in my Welding program told me how comfortable the shoe was. I had a hip replacement after an injury I sustained in Iraq so I needed a shoe that I could wear all day, while standing on concrete when I teach and this boot is by far one of the best boots I have ever worn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot! This is my 4th pair and like them lots, have not found anything close to the comfort. They only last me 1yr just like any other boot but I am rough on shoes so its expected, I dont mind buying a pair once a year since the comfort is like no other. I will give the same recommandation again, Please keep the inventory up on these Alpha force composite toes, my favorite. One other thing, Reviewers if your new to this boot, Cavenders boots and a few other retail sale Rocky, I recommend going and trying on a size there to get fitted, then order online here, It will benefit you better that way. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and Comfortable work boot I wear these for work everyday and they are comfortable and fit great. The lightweight composite toe is great. They are electrical hazard protected for my job in the electrical business. I would recommend this to any who needs to have steel toe and hazard rated for electrical. I will be buying again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost there... I love my Rockys....but the waterproof is a bit of a stretch...I know these are set for "duty'' but I didn't realize a Production Kitchen and a motorcycle would give them a run for there money. I guess none of these people have been on bike in the rain or had to hose off a floor. They lasted my average of 6 months, which between de-greasers and Minnesota weather isn't bad, but they aren't anywhere near indestructible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots! I have been using these boots for years, I request them specifically when I go to the uniform store at work. This time, the uniform store was taking forever, and my old pair had really worn out, so I purchased them on my own. They were delivered by Rocky in 3 days. These boots are comfortable, are a nice height to keep your ankle protected but not be unbearably hot in the summer like some of the higher boots, and are heavy enough to feel solid with the composite toe. I think they do run a little large, as I usually wear an 8M in men's - but with these I like the 7.5 better.
