The design of the athletic-inspired upper has been built to be lightweight but durable. You’ll be able to perform your job duties without being the slightest bit concerned that your boot is going to slow you down.
The materials covering the upper are a combination of black, full grain, genuine leather and 900 denier Cordura®. While the Cordura® nylon is lightweight, you’ll be glad to know that it’s tough as nails.
There’s a curved YKK Zipper, on the inside, which allows you to have an easier on and off process.
All of the hardware on this Rocky FirstMed boot is non-metallic. This will allow you to be able and go into any area within the hospital and not be concerned about your footwear disturbing the machines. Another benefit is that the hardware on this #6499 boot will never rust.
This Rocky FirstMed boot is exceptional (especially for your line of work) because the lining is able to resist blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, gasoline and more to keep you safe.
While the composite toe on this #6499 Rocky boot is lighter than steel, your feet are still going to be protected. It is certified to meet the ASTM F2413-11 I/75 C/75 for the highest levels of Impact, Compression and EH (Electrical Hazard) protection.
