This Rocky HandHewn Western is the perfect example of how men's footwear can look handsome yet still retain a timeless look. The entire upper has been fashioned out of full-grain leather; the dark brown lava shade and the distressed tan hue complement each other extremely well. The detailed stitching and dark piping are accents that enhance the look further. In order for you to get these pull-on boots on/off smoothly, they have sturdy pull tabs and an Expansion Fit Seam™ - As you are inserting or removing your ankle, the seam will expand so you are able to do this process smoothly. Yet, these boots will still fit comfortably because the seam closes right back up.
The smoothness of the leather, that was used to line the interior of these square-toe boots, is absolutely incredible. The comfort level and fit have been improved drastically, because this lining feels ridiculously comfortable and prevents these Western boots from rubbing against your legs. The footbed is comprised of dual-density layers, it supports and comforts your feet, and the heel stabilizer offers outstanding stability - it's also removable, so once the cushioning has worn down, just slide it out and insert another one.
When purchasing boots, you don't need to have a full understanding of construction procedures. Just keep in mind, if you want your footwear to be durable, have great stability, hold up extremely well and provide you with the opportunity to have the outsole replaced once it has worn down... you need to look for Goodyear welt construction. This 12" Rocky HandHewn Western has been assembled with 3/4 Goodyear leather welt construction.
For optimal stability and to ensure that the arches of your feet receive sufficient support, a tempered steel shank has been built into the base of this Rocky Western. You'll be thoroughly impressed with the durability of the outsole; it has been assembled with genuine leather (creates a very fine-looking appearance) and has been pegged by hand.
