Additional Information

Rocky® H.A.M. GORE-TEX® Waterproof Insulated PR Met Guard Miner Boots have all the safety and comfort features you need to work in a mine.

There are many details in Hard. Ass. Miner. boots to protect you on the job. The boots have a metatarsal guard, are puncture-resistant with a Lenzi plate, have a steel toe that meets ASTM standards for impact and compression, and meet standards for electrical hazard. These also are high-visibility boots, helping make others aware of where you are in dark working conditions.

Rocky also gives you the Vibram® Montagna outsole with wide outer lugs for confidence in traction and braking on steep inclines and rocky terrain.

Now, let's talk comfort. First, make sure your feet are warm and dry. These work boots are made with GORE-TEX®, known for being waterproof, breathable and durable. Rocky added to that 400 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation for warmth in cold, damp and dank situations.

While that might be enough for some footwear manufacturers, Rocky knows work boots should be really comfortable. You're walking, standing and moving all day, so your boots need to keep up. Inside, the Air-Port™ Cushion footbed circulates air with every step. It will never break down or lose its shape. Topping off comfort, Rocky added padding to the ankle where the top of your boots would otherwise rub your ankle or shin.

If you work in a mine, you work hard. You need boots that work hard, too. You need the Rocky H.A.M. (Hard. Ass. Miner.) boot.

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using steel composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
    Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
    Insulated
Traditional insulation - typically felt or polyfill material offers a thermal barrier without the added benefits of premium insulations.
    Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
    GORE-TEX®
GORE-TEX® fabric features revolutionary patented technology that is windproof, waterproof and breathable. GORE-TEX® is a registered trademark of W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc.
Rocky H.A.M. GORE-TEX® Waterproof Insulated PR Met Guard Miner Boots is rated 3.3636 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the money Working for a railroad construction/demolition company is extremely rough on boots. I've burned through 3 pairs of high quality boots in 2 years. I needed something that was going to be comfortable, provide me with the required safety and would last. I went back to the brand that I wore in the military. Different style, but the same quality that I remember. Rocky stands for quality and these boots haven't disappointed! The break-in period wasn't pleasant but now I'm walking around in comfort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from all around terrible I was really eager to try these boots hoping they would hold up better than other boots I have used but after only a few weeks the sole started to separate. the rest of the boot is holding up well but how good is a boot if the sole comes apart especially when they cost $300+ . I am a carpenter so I don't know how these would hold up in mining conditions if they don't hold up walking in dirt and on concrete. sadly this will be my last pair of rockys.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Built I purchased these online and I have to say that they were what I expected. The downside was they were only made in a medium in size 13, and in Rocky boots I'm in between medium and wide. Sadly they were a little to narrow for me to wear comfortably. On a positive note the return process was painless and without issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Started leaking after only 2 months I actually liked these boots. They are comfortable and not to heavy compared to others. But started leaking after only two months of wear. Set them back for replacement. If it hadn't been for them leaking they would have got 5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They're tanks Working in utility construction, tall enough to get down in the mud and water. Durable and can take a beating. The interior heel area causes some discomfort, takes a while to break them in but once done they are a fine boot
