Additional Information

The Rocky® C5C trainer, Evolution from our popular C4T Trainer!

The C5C combines Rocky's most advanced lightweight features with the durability and performance needed in competitive operations.

The C5C gives you the ability to select the appropriate footwear for your environment.

At just 15.5 ounces, the C5C won't weigh you down on the job or in competition.

The boot's aggressive EVA/rubber outsole allows you to grip the terrain; there's no slipping here. The sole also is designed with a multi-directional self-cleaning tread pattern so you won't have caked mud weighing you down.

Helping you focus on the job at hand, this is a water-resistant and fast-drying military boot. You have work to do and can't be distracted by wet boots. The Rocky® C5C military trainer keeps up.

There's no time to waste and long-lasting laces are a must, so Rocky designed this boot with speed lace eyelets and NATO hooks through which you pull 550 cord laces. Paracord is strong and lightweight parachute cord that will help you in survival situations due to its many uses and its strength. The nylon material dries quickly, and the 550 tells you these laces can hold up to 550 pounds.

This C5C is a durable boot. It has a long-lasting leather vamp and a reinforced, stitched toe guard to hold up to potential scuffs and abrasions, as does the Cordura® upper. Cordura is a durable, versatile fabric made from high-tenacity fiber technologies.

These also are comfortable military boots. The Rocky Air-Portā„¢ Cushion Footbed is molded from durable PU that will never break down or lose its shape. The Air-Port Cushion Footbed circulates air with every step.

These boots are made under the General Service Admissions Contract. They are Rocky Trade Friendly Compliant, meaning the C5Cs meet the Trade Agreements Act of 2012.

If you need a lightweight military boot that will help you perform, get the Rocky C5C!

The C5C does not meet the requirements of AR 670-1 or DA PAM 670-1.

Rocky C5C Commercial Military Boots is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interior stitching is a deal breaker I have to admit that I was so excited for these boots, but my first pair which was regular width hurt and would dig into my instep, so I thought that I needed a wider pair. I requested an exchange an so I got a wider pair, but the digging was still there. I figured that I was just being a baby about so I continued to wear these boots. Long story short I figured out it is the stitching on the inside of the boot, so I had to apply a huge piece of take to the inside of the boot and that made the difference except now I have a wide pair which I never needed to begin with. So besides the fact that my foot shifts they are great feeling boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, more durable than the C4Ts. The first time I used these boots out of garrison some threads in the toe popped out. There's only 1 line of threads in the toe section, and some popped out. Nothing changed, I don't see or feel a difference so it doesn't really matter. I just wish they held up better, seeing as that was the first time I actually used them out of garrison. Other than that, they're fantastic. They can get a little bit warm, but they've never gotten really hot. The vents do work. The tread is fantastic. I never slip while wearing these. The toe and heel tread has actually saved me a few times, too. Climbing up a hill too steep and they catch me from slipping very well. Solid 9/10, haven't had a real issue yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from tough light weight boots! I purchased these boots on sale for a caving trip, I didn't expect much from them since they are light weight boots. however, these boots have been through a lot caving and came out squeaky clean and in almost perfect condition! In the caves they encountered thick heavy clay, lots of sharp jagged rocks and a whole lot of water. My fellow spelunkers ( fancy word for caving) boots were falling off and losing vital parts while the rocky c5c handled the rough terrain like champs! they are very comfortable and feel like athletic shoes. The tread on the bottom and heal and toe are great for caving. I love these boots and would purchase another pair once my current pair wear out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not 670-1 approved I purchased these new rocky thinking that they would be a better alternative to the ct4's the commander had identified as unauthorized, unfortunately, even though these are a newer design they too are not 670-1 approved...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These C5C are the finest boot available First off, I am an Honorably Retired Sergeant, with 23 years, from the Sheriff's Office. I started wearing the Fort Hood forty years ago, for on and off duty. They ae affordable and gave me a good four years each. Upon retiring, I switched to the new lightweight boots. For a super good looking black " uptown boot " I chose the RY008 Men's 8" Duty. For all around wear, I chose the new, awesomely comfortable C5C Commercial Military. I have two pairs of these. One for yard and home work,. one for a nice, sharp looking boot " going up town. " I just today ordered a third pair of the C5C. Now I alternate the " up town " boots every other day for longer wear. They are so lightweight and comfortable I can wear them all day. Thanks Rocky.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deffinatly a range boot After having the C5C for 1 week I can say that I do not like them near as much as I did my C4T. I really wish they wouldn't have gone away form that as the S2V makes a good range boot. There is a loss in feeling from the C4 to the C5 and for me that's a big reason why I loved these boots so much. Sizing is prety normal to a regular shoe size. They are comfortable but just not like what I was hoping for but I believe it just all comes down to the new sole they used. overall the C5 is not a bad bad boot but if its just for garrison or civilian use like I use mine for these days I might look elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good not great boot Cons - not waterproof (just so you know), paracord laces don't like to stay tied, lace eyes make it awkward to loosen enough to get on & off easily, doesn't dry as quickly as I thought it would, not all water drains out, sand & grit will wash in Could go either way - not as much ankle support as I expected but also lets you flex ankle Pros - light weight, almost no break-in, good traction, got on sale w/ coupon for great price, seems durable Put in about 20 miles of training w/ 45lb pack plus 10 miles portaging with 40 lb pack and 40 lb canoe with no problems
