ROCKY takes home PLUS Award!
WORK: ROCKY The hard work that led to Rocky's 2010 Plus Award in the Work category began more than two years ago with a commitment to develop a more collaborative process for making the best possible work boots. David Sharp, president of Rocky Brands, says everyone was included in the process from start to finish, which involved members from marketing, sales, design and sourcing. While such a team effort may seem logical, Sharp says it's not a common industry practice and it wasn't easy to get everyone on the same page at first. Helping the Community One Can at a Time
With the Holiday season quickly approaching, Rocky wanted to participate in an activity that would benefit the community and surrounding areas of Nelsonville, Ohio. Food banks have been having an especially hard time keeping food on their shelves to offer to those in need. FIRST TOP FUEL TROPHY FOR KALITTA OF THE 2010 NHRA FULL THROTTLE DRAG RACING SERIES
Sunday afternoon outside Denver was the location for the second winner circle event of the weekend involving Rocky Brands. Doug Kalitta, driving for Rocky, clenched his first win of the season. “When I saw the win light come on down there it was real special, a great relief,” said Kalitta. The 8,000-horsepower, nitro-fueled Kalitta Air Top Fuel dragster won its first Top Fuel title trophy of the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. The Rocky TrailBlades that Team Kalitta wears received a beating after all the jumping up and down that was taking place at the starting line after the win light lit up.
