Additional Information

This guaranteed Rocky® Waterproof boot was designed with an EMT in mind. Created with many safety features, the medical duty boot is bloodborne pathogen resistant, which is safer for EMTs.

The footwear complies with the ASTM F2413 electrical hazard standard, which provides secondary protection against accidental electrical contact, in addition to having a rubber outsole.

The protective toe of the Rocky 1st Med Carbon Fiber Toe Puncture-Resistant Side-Zip Waterproof Boot is made from carbon fiber and meets the ASTM F2413 protective toe classification.

In addition, the quality-constructed Rocky® boot has Lenzi puncture-resistant plate, and is made of full-grain leather and CORDURA® nylon.

The practical, black boot has reflective highlights so it's easily seen, and it's slip-resistant for whatever smooth and slippery surfaces you encounter. Get yourself a pair of Rocky Boots®, and experience their safety and performance.

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using protective toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
    Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
    Rocky® Waterproof
Rocky® Waterproof construction insures the highest level of waterproof protection while maintaining breathability.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.

Rocky 1st Med Carbon Fiber Toe Puncture-Resistant Side-Zip Waterproof Duty Boot is rated 3.0952 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from NEEDS a redesign Currently i'm a full time EMT in NYC. I've had these boots for about 6 MO. The liner of the boot is coming off, and the zipper does get stuck a lot. The boot is definitely not true to sizing, I've had other Rocky boots that were great but these don't cut it. In the city are many patients who live in buildings without elevators(Brooklyn) and these things make me nervous on stair-chair jobs because of their width and bulkyness... I like the reflective piping, some extra safety, like that its still discreet, but nothing to brag about. It's a great pricing for a boot that has a carbon-fiber toe. But unfortunately need to pass. Rated 2 out of 5 by from They're Alright. I bought these boots last month and they're decent. Not the best. Certainly not for their price. It's sturdy and and great for large puddles. The reflective design is fairly nice as well. Also they're a little lighter than the boots I wear from basic training Main issue is with the zipper. I have been able to only put these on once without having to fight with the zipper for a couple of minutes. A well thought out design, but implemented poorly. They're also a bit large and kinda clunky, but it's grown on me. If you really want to get a pair of these, I would wait for a sale or something. $150+ isn't really worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I've worn them every day for about 3 was and so far so good. They are comfortable enough to wear without adding insert soles. I can see where the zipper could be a concern but you have to remember to zip them before tightening the laces so you don't stress the zipper. It's meant to make getting in and out of them easier without digging up the heel. The carbon fiber toe makes for a Frankenstein looking bulk, but keeps them light and great if you're passing through a metal detector regularly, you shouldn't need to take them off. I did treat them with a waterproof spray to protect them from the elements. Overall I'm good - 4 stars out of the box...I'll reserve the 5th until I see how they wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like wearing slippers I bought a pair 2 years ago and liked them so much that I bought 2 more pairs for back up. I'm still wearing the first pair although there is some separation of the plastic/rubber outer panels. A little glue remedies that problem. I fine tuned the inner soles and replaced them with orthodic inner soles. One zipper is giving me trouble. It's not long for this earth. I'm a trucker (chemical tankers) and am on my feet as much as I'm driving. I wish that my slippers felt so good. Light weight, good tight fit. I'm happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD ALL AROUND BOOT Got the boots about a month ago and it is a great boot, one of the eyelets came off when tighting and one zipper sticks sometimes but is a good boot and I would buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rocky 1st med They are heavy, stiff and I had to return 2 pair right out of the box due to poor construction. Retned the 3rd pair just because of the hassle. Don't recommend these at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I am trucker and was looking for a light-weight protective toe waterproof boot. This boot is the best I have worn in 22 years. They are crazy comfortable, super light and definitley water proof. I won't utilize every feature they have, but my feet don't sweat in them and so far haven't gotten cold or wet either. Style is great and they seem to be very durable. Reflectivity is cool too. Been wearing them every night for a couple of weeks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good thoughts, poor design I bought these boots and in 4 months the interior liner was tore apart. I work at a full time fire department, and if I were to try and get out of these boots to get into my bunker pants it would have taken extra time due to my heel catching on the liner. Also, the backs to the boots were starting to come off well before the liner problems. I will give it to Rocky on the comfort, I loved to comfort of the boot.
