From top to bottom, this 8" Rocky 1st Med Carbon-Fiber Toe work boot was designed for an EMT; it's loaded with features to make you more effective and designed to keep you safe. This footwear is completely non-metallic, which permits them to be worn around scanners or in any area that has metal-sensitive machinery.

The protective toe is made from carbon fiber; it is certified to the highest level (Class 75) of Impact and Compression protection of ASTM F23413-11 standards. The boot is also constructed to meet the ASTM F2413-11 Electrical Hazard Standard, providing secondary protection against accidental electrical contact. To protect your feet from items that could pierce through the bottom of your boot, there's a flexible Lenzi® puncture-resistant plate; it has been certified to meet the ASTM 2413-11 PR standards.

The upper has been made from a combination of black full-grain leather and 900 denier Cordura®. The nylon is a nice addition because although it's lightweight, you will be impressed by how durable it is and its breathability. After an emergency, you don't want to have blood or other fluids soaking down into your boots. For that reason, this boot has been constructed using HydroGuard™, which makes it blood-borne pathogen resistant. Also, there is a fully-gusseted tongue that will aid in blocking liquids from seeping into your boot.

There is an anti-abrasion tech tuff overlay to keep your toes protected. The Rocky external molded heel protector also safeguards your boots from getting abrasions while you're driving or working. To make sure your feet are comfortable, Rocky has inserted a lightweight, EVA footbed. Every time your foot touches down, it will be met by relieving cushioning. In order to keep your feet completely dry, these boots have been assembled with Rocky Waterproof Construction.

During the night, it is of the utmost importance that you can be seen. This Rocky 1st Med boot has a reflective strip in its heel (it can even be seen when your squatting down) and there is also reflective piping on the side of your boots that can be seen by both headlights and portable flashlights. You receive ankle support, have better torsional stability and are able to maneuver more rapidly  because this footwear is outfitted with a TPU skeletal brace. The outsole has been made of rubber and is abrasion, oil and slip resistant.

As a professional EMT, you are responsible for rescuing, recovering, and aiding people in their time of need. With all of that responsibility, you need to be wearing these #911113 Rocky 1st Med Carbon Fiber Toe boots (style). Get yourself a pair and be amazed by its level of performance and safety!

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using steel composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
    Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.
Rocky 1st Med Carbon Fiber Toe Puncture-Resistant Side-Zip WP Boot is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from NEEDS a redesign Currently i'm a full time EMT in NYC. I've had these boots for about 6 MO. The liner of the boot is coming off, and the zipper does get stuck a lot. The boot is definitely not true to sizing, I've had other Rocky boots that were great but these don't cut it. In the city are many patients who live in buildings without elevators(Brooklyn) and these things make me nervous on stair-chair jobs because of their width and bulkyness... I like the reflective piping, some extra safety, like that its still discreet, but nothing to brag about. It's a great pricing for a boot that has a carbon-fiber toe. But unfortunately need to pass. Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD ALL AROUND BOOT Got the boots about a month ago and it is a great boot, one of the eyelets came off when tighting and one zipper sticks sometimes but is a good boot and I would buy them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I am trucker and was looking for a light-weight protective toe waterproof boot. This boot is the best I have worn in 22 years. They are crazy comfortable, super light and definitley water proof. I won't utilize every feature they have, but my feet don't sweat in them and so far haven't gotten cold or wet either. Style is great and they seem to be very durable. Reflectivity is cool too. Been wearing them every night for a couple of weeks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good thoughts, poor design I bought these boots and in 4 months the interior liner was tore apart. I work at a full time fire department, and if I were to try and get out of these boots to get into my bunker pants it would have taken extra time due to my heel catching on the liner. Also, the backs to the boots were starting to come off well before the liner problems. I will give it to Rocky on the comfort, I loved to comfort of the boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rocky 1st med They are heavy, stiff and I had to return 2 pair right out of the box due to poor construction. Retned the 3rd pair just because of the hassle. Don't recommend these at all.
