Additional Information

It's vital to ensure personal safety when spending time in nature, especially if you come into contact with venomous snakes. The Rocky ProLight Waterproof Snakeproof Boot gives you protection against these deadly creatures. They act as a defense against most North American snakes.

To shield your feet, ankles and lower legs from a bite, these snake proof boots are sixteen inches in height. Additionally, they promise water resistance thanks to The Guaranteed Rocky® Waterproof construction, along with the nylon and full-grain leather trim. The technology and material both work to keep feet dry and comfortable, no matter what Mother Nature has in store.

Another favorite feature is the side zipper that allows you to easily get in and out of these camo hunting boots.

Plus, The ProLight BioMech outsole provides top-notch traction. This gives you the confidence to walk on uneven terrain.

You can have snake proof and waterproof capabilities in one pair of boots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bad zipper and not waterproof bought a pair two years ago for deer hunting in eastern North Carolina. I have had trouble with zipper getting stuck on material on inside. This I could deal with by holding fingers inside as I zip up. I found out pretty quick that the boots are not waterproof as advertised. Since I sprayed the boots with tick repellant more than once I figured the spray might have broken down the leather. I bought a second pair since they are so comfortable, and decided not to spray with repellant. Walking to my stand in a heavy due my toes got wet. I think I will spray them with a silicon sealer for tents and try that. Don't think I would recommend these to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run small I ordered a 13. Most boots tend to run a little big, and I'm a true to slightly small size 13. These boots have good lugs and are generally easy to zip. The ankles and calves are a bit too fitted for my tastes, but that tight fit does provide ankle support. Generally have to wear pants on outside of good versus a tuck, which means any snake that strikes may well get hung in pants. Small chance though. Generally pleased overall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very light, very comfortable, but, NOT WATER PROOF I purchased these boots from Tractor Supply because I hunt in florida where snakes and water are plentiful. The hardwoods on my property often flood which attracts water moccasins. The water never gets very deep, maybe 8 inches at most. Let me just say these are the lightest, most comfortable boots I have ever hunted in. I am a size 10, but i ordered a 10.5 wide. Order a half size larger to ensure room for thick socks if hunting in the cold. The first two days I hunted pines, tracked through a few large puddles, and my feet remained bone dry. Then came the hardwoods hunt on day three. I had to hike 600 yards into the woods to my tree, 80 percent of that hike through standing water. Nothing very deep, maybe 8 inches at the deepest. 200 yards in and I felt my feet getting damp. At first I thought it was just my feet sweating as it is very warm here in Florida. However, my hike back confirmed my worst fears when I heard the "squishing sponge sound" coming from the boots as I walked on dry ground. Once back at my truck, I removed them and the entire foot compartment was soaked. Form the ankle upward, they were bone dry. I really love the comfort of these boots, but I cannot accept a boot called "waterproof" that leaks. I will be contacting Rocky and will update later. I hope the pair I received are defective because these are extremely comfortable boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not water proof The boots are light and comfortable and all day wear. The boots are not water proof if you have to walk through more than a few ankle deep puddles. And.....the zipper ripped off my left boot. I can no longer zip up the boot. HUGE disappointment for a $175 purchase. I'll never buy Rocky brand boots again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money!! Boots were great straight out of the box, but after about the 5th time wearing them, they have lost their waterproofing. These boots completely filled up with water in from a 6 inch deep puddle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent boot but.... I REALLY loved these boots; very comfortable, rugged and they breath better than my Alpha Burly's. But from the time I bought them one side was harder to zip than the other. This condition never improved until the zipper bound permanently and the slider head broke. I've had them 18 months so I'm out of luck. And zip up boots don't work at all with out a zipper. You got to figure a certain number come off the production line with this flaw so buyer beware. $200 down the drain
