Additional Information

Built for the unforeseen. Rocky Boots® actually built safety features into these Rocky S2V hikers, crafted with waterproof nubuck leather and durable ripstop nylon.

Inside these hiking boots, under the footbed, you'll find Ultimate Survival Technologies (UST) essentials. Each hiker is equipped with a firesparker and wet cubes. These items can be used to start a fire!

Strong 500 paracord bootlaces won't break and have many uses as a survival tool.

You can't control the weather or how wet the ground is, so Rocky built these hiking shoes with Hydro IQ™ (waterproof/air circulation) technology and a moisture-wicking lining. Your feet stay dry in S2V hikers.

To keep your feet comfortable, these hikers have a tri-density molded anti-microbial insole. It keeps your feet comfortable, suppresses odor and its fuchsia color turns your insole into a tool that can signal for help.

A TPU plate gives you stable footing and absorbs impact as you walk. The Vibram® outsole is bonded to the upper through direct attached construction. Its structure is sealed off from moisture and has additional flexibility. The bottom of this footwear is crampon and snowshoe compatible, which allows you to wear these hiking boots throughout the entire winter. Also, the wave underlay proves excellent element traction.

A fully-gusseted tongue is comfortable and blocks debris from getting inside your hiking boots. A polyurethane toe wrap and guard on the back protect your shoes against abrasions.

When it comes to outdoor footwear, there are a lot of good-looking shoes and boots, but they just don't have this collection of great safety tools. Rocky S2V Substratum Direct Attached Lace-Up Athletic Hikers (#RE007) truly raise the bar. If you want to wear the best, just lace up these Rocky hikers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Made tough boot Bought this boot due to the features such as insulated and waterproof. The boot is well made and will suit my needs of hiking in the mountains of colorado, I believe even in the winter time. I bought a size eleven since that is the size I usually wear in Merrell boots. This boot is very true to size in length and appears to be very large size in overall boot cavity size. I ended up putting very thick felt inserts into the boots which worked out very nicely. I have a very warm waterproof boot and am very happy with them now.I have gotten several comments about how cool they are. Very happy!!! WIll buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent hiking/hunting boot I bought these for my November elk hunt in Montana. I know these are designed and marketed for backpacking, expeditions ect. However, after some research online I thought they would be a great boot for my Montana trip. These boots have all the features of those extremely expensive mountain hunting boots. From the Vibram soles to the fully rubber wrapped lowers and toe guard. Not to mention the high quality leather and ankle support. I have put the first two miles on these boots and I am impressed. Excellent ankle support and great traction. I will say they will need some breaking in, but hey, what boot doesn't? Finally they are waterproof and have 400 grams of insulation, perfect for my application. Bottom line if you want a boot that is on Par with expensive mountain hunting boots I would recommend he Rocky S2V Hikers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Hit the Mark The boot construction seems solid and lasting. They were actually warmer than I expected for such little insulation. Took one day to break in, then good to go. I get compliments all the time. I'd definitely buy another pair when these wear out, ...but that might be a while. Keep in mind they are too warm for summer hiking. I like them though for the other three months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and warm! These boots are very warm, comfortable and great traction. Went hiking in a moderately challenging ravine and had no problems with traction or the cold. About 4 to 6 inches of snow and feet stayed warm and dry. Awesome shoes that are very well built!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BOOT! GREAT PRICE! I bought this boot as an affordable alternative to the high priced boots I'd been researching. Took them out as soon as I got them and did an extreme descent hike in the New River Gorge area of Fayetteville, WV. Boots were flawless and super comfortable. Thanks Rocky for considering the working man.
