Additional Information

Your job may require you to purchase work boots that meet certain safety features. Yet, you want a boot that won't only be safe, but will also be rugged, comfortable, and durable. When you go to find a work boot with these qualifications, you begin to think that it is going to be a rather difficult challenge. The Rocky 10" IronClad Internal MetGuard Pull-On Boots are exactly what you have been looking for.

If the Rocky IronClad name is any indication, you should know that this series is all about heavy-duty work boots.

This is a very masculine looking boot. The upper is constructed from premium, heavy-duty, full-grain leather that has been oiled. The foot and shaft have been triple-stitched to be able to withstand lots of use.

The Rocky 10" IronClad is a pull-on boot, and this feature allows for you to be able to get into and out of your boots quickly. This is great for the early mornings when you need to get out the door quickly, because you may have hit the snooze button one too many times. Also for when you return home, and just want to pull your boots off and have a relaxing evening.

One could argue that there is nothing more wretched than being at work and being in a complete state of misery because your feet are wet. The lunar knit linings are soft and durable, but are also moisture wicking.

The safety features of this Rocky IronClad boot are truly phenomenal. They are in place to keep you and your feet unharmed while you work.

Safety Features:The steel toe is certified to the  HIGHEST level of ASTM F2413-11 for impact and compression standard specifications for performance requirements for protective (safety) toe cap footwear. Certified EH (Electrical Hazard) to meet ASTM F2413-11 requirements. The internal metguard is certified to meet ASTM F2413-11 requirements

With the EH (electrical hazard) protection... They are designed to impede (reduce significantly) the flow of electricity through the shoe and to ground, thereby reducing the possibility of electrocution. It should be noted however - per ASTM requirements - EH boots are designed to be a secondary source of protection in an Electrical Hazard environment.

The internal metguard protection is not thick and bulky, instead it is the d3o advanced metguard which uses specially engineered phase-change material made with intelligent molecules that flow as you move, but on shock lock together to absorb the impact energy. You can bend and squat in comfort. You won't even know it's there - until you need it.

The #6468 boot features genuine Goodyear construction, and has a beaded storm welt to sustain shape-retention, and to help impede mud and water from getting into your Rocky IronClad  Pull-On work boots.

You have no idea what your feet were missing until you've worked a shift in an IronClad boot. Some of the features of the boot that you will grow to appreciate most include: an (extra durable) steel shank for stability; a lightweight, shock-absorbing and flexible EVA midsole; a vented, cushioned polyurethane footbed; 7-layer slip- and oil-resistant rubber outsole.

If you are looking for a work boot that meets ASTM safety standards, while also being rugged, comfortable, and durable then the Rocky 10 " IronClad Internal MetGuard Pull-On Boots are the right choice for you.

    • Extra durable-ribbed tempered steel shank
    • Seven layer slip and oil resistant IronClad outsole
    • Full-grain leather
    • ASTM F2413 protective toe classification
    • Internal metatarsal guard
    • 10 Inches in height
    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction using steel composition toe caps to help insulate you from the ground retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meets and exceeds ASTM F2413-05 electrical hazard standards.
    Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
    Rocky® Waterproof
Rocky® Waterproof construction fuses a waterproof inner layer to the shoe upper providing a barrier that keeps water out. The waterproofing lines the entire boot, ensuring complete protection.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the boots but... These are great boots - they are comfortable if you are going to be on your feet all day, they look great and are of solid construction... but I work around steel platforms and steel stairs. If you miss a stair or scrape the steel accidentally with the boot while walking it could gouge the leather toe... not cool. I stopped wearing the boots to work after a few minor gouges in the leather toes as to not add further dings to the leather. I am wearing these around town now etc as they are still great boots but I replaced these for work with the ROCKY ELEMENTS BLOCK STEEL TOE WATERPROOF WORK BOOT - NON WELLINGTON - which I highly recommend if you are concerned about keeping the leather toes free of dings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finest metguard boot hands down! I've worn numerous brands of metguards ie. Carolina, Redwing, Timberland, Wolverine, etc. This is by far the most comfortable boot I've put on my feet for work. I go through a pair of boots on average every 90-100 days due to a combination of coolants and steel shavings breaking down the soles. These boots provide a longevity that other brands simply could not. The breathability and comfort of the boot combined with the flexability of the D3O metguard in my opinion, is the pinnacle of a dependable work boot. Thanks for the great product Rocky.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not For Everyone I bought these boots because of all the features and well, you know, GOOD looks!! However, even buying a half size larger than normal, the metguard kills my feet in pain!!! If, like me, you have ANY sort of high arch, you better think twice. I tried these on at the store and had a bit of a hard time getting my foot into the boot as the uppers seemed narrow. Once on they felt fine. Next day at work I could only wear these around 4 hrs before the pain across the top of my foot was TOO much. My feet swelled liked crazy and I have only been able to wear these 3 times in a month. Each time after about 4 hrs I have to take them off and have the seam line stamped into my skin across the top of my foot. Hoping in time it gets better cuz now after wearing them once the store will not let me return them and I'm stuck with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from the iron clad I purchased them for welding and they didn't hold up to the hot metal as I hoped. They actually burn on the top by the steel toe. Had to pour water on it to distguish my boot. Had them less then a month now I have a hole in the top. I buy Rocky boots usually the bransons. Never had a problem with them burning. They handle the heat fine.
