Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Boot I've had these boots for about 18 months now. They are comfortable and keep my feet dry. I need to get another pair but still unsure if I want to go with these Rocky's or not. The sole is warn off on them and for as much that is paid for them I just think they should last a little longer. They been squeaking for a few months too but I've just been dealing with it because only one does it. I would recommend though for any temp other than the desert climates. Would have to go with the tennis shoe brand on that one because they breath very well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent Comfort - Disappointing Sole Performance 24 years of service and these were the most comfortable boots I had ever worn. From beginning, to end, the comfort was always there. I only wish they had the sage green with Gortex. The durability of the uppers is quite good as well. The big negative though, is that the sole material is very lacking; it wears incredibly fast (worn through in less than a year with less than daily wear; and they can perform very poorly transitioning from wet to dry services... forget about trying to make any sharp moves if you are coming in from the rain. Aside from that, if wet conditions and long term wear are not a concern, but you need comfort, these are the boots to get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best duty boot I've owned I've had these boots for a year now. They have survived many hunting, scouting/hiking, and rough farm work. I love them. I've owned every style of combat boot since nam jungle boots plus a number of hiking, work, and hunting boots. These are the lightest and most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Comfy I bought these based on recommendations from lots of people. I love them and they are almost too comfortable! The only issue I have with them is they are very wide and I have rather narrow feet. There isn't as much sole under my feet as with other boots and it takes some getting used to, but I actually like it. The speed laces make putting them on rather simple and they are very snug around the upper ankle. I would DEFINITELY recommend trying on a pair before ordering online. The sizing is much different than Bates, Wellco, or Altama.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very satisfied so far I only have about 7 hours in these boots - all in 80°+ temps; they are comfortable and I am looking forward to a lot more mile and a more thorough review in due time, but I would LOVE to have the same boot in a 2" shorter (slightly lighter and easier to slip on) version if Rocky made one for canyoneering and other summer California activities... rick,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall solid boot, but could use more padding After spending the last 3 weeks at OTS marching like crazy, I am overall satisfied with the boot. The laces are easy to pull and the boot are constructed solidly. They're not the most comfortable boots to spend hours marching and walking in, but they'll work. If I were to buy new boots, I would also consider Danner for their comfort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Boot, but Bad Eyelets I've had multiple pairs of S2Vs and issued many more in our unit. They repeatedly have problems with eyelets coming loose, or more commonly, the crimping under the eyelet splits and then it starts cutting boot laces. One pair of boots cut four different laces before I quit wearing them and bought another brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great boots! Everything about these boots are perfect except 1 thing: The opening for your leg is too large unless you're huge. So your uniform and your laces won't stay tucked in. I've never had boots with openings this wide.
